They don`t seem to have much confidence in their own letter. The second CIO published this letter in which she stated that the only legal option was her lower-stationary magazine, Thorsden stopped selling in New York. Obviously, they started shipping again after realizing that the L-shit troupe was a bunch of nonsense, but if they agreed, why would they stop selling? The California Penal Code specifically defines pistol grips with the placement of the net of your hand relative to the exposed upper part of the trigger. Other States have different or very vague definitions regarding the regulation of “assault weapons”; Therefore, you need to do your research to determine whether this handle works for you or not. We would appreciate receiving an email if you have relevant information. Here`s a great review video by Joel on GunGuyTV. It really praises our safety after 4:40am and it`s definitely worth checking out if you`re using any type of plug without function. Be sure to subscribe to his channel to stay up to date with 2A news in California. It has been brought to our attention that at 4:10 in this video, Joel incorrectly states that there may be enough room for your thumb if you use a firm tree.
does NOT exist. Please read all the FAQ articles (see FAQ tab above) and especially this one on fixed stocks. We don`t want to mislead customers about the pros and cons of featureless rifles or our handling. Please call or email if you have any questions, we are here for you and happy to help. Under recent California law, AR-15 rifles with bullet buttons are now considered assault weapons and must be registered by June 30, 2018. If you convert your rifle to a “featureless” rifle, you do NOT need to register it as an assault weapon. A “non-functional” rifle is a fully functional rifle without the general characteristics (or characteristics) that define an assault weapon (e.g., pistol grip, lightning suppressor, telescopic stock, etc.). A “featureless” AR-15 rifle CAN have a normal, fully functional magazine. Our CRG-15 rifle grip does NOT meet California`s definition of a pistol grip (see details below*) due to the “forced” placement of the trigger hand net; Therefore, we have classified this product as a “Compliant Rifle Grip”.
The CRG-15 grip is an important aspect in building a “featureless” rifle. Better than recording it as an “assault rifle”. It would be great if it was another inch or two and had a better shape to grip and support the rest of my hand that is hanging. This angled handle drastically changes the weight distribution, making it a bit bulky. If you have longer arms, your wrist will be at a sharp, awkward angle, even if a “California fix” butt rod is fully extended. If you`re wearing something above a “big” glove size, you might want to find another alternative. If you have big hands, I doubt you can get your thumb to pass because there is ~1.5″ of space between that handle and the tampon tube. This featureless handle from Sparrow Dynamics works great for circumventing the new “illegal attack laws” on a budget. But beware, it`s a bit cumbersome in larger hands. We are out of stock for some colors. Immaculate handles are also available here. Like anything else, it could be legal or illegal. I think that`s enough to demonstrate a compliance effort, but NY won`t say what`s acceptable and what`s not. The only non-functional grip that is definitely legal is the spur grip, as police decided the Bronx hospital shooter`s rifle was New York-compliant. *Defined in the State of California`s “Assault Weapon Identification Guide”, 3. Edition, November 2001, page 80: “Pistol grip, visibly protruding: A grip that allows a pistol-like grip in which the net of the trigger hand (between the thumb and forefinger) can be placed under the top of the exposed part of the trigger during firing.” “Because the MAF requires users to place the net of their trigger hand on the exposed upper part of the trigger, the MAF cannot be classified as a `pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously under the action of the weapon` because it does not meet the DOJ definition. Therefore, owners of AR-15 firearms who correctly mount the CRG on their firearm should be able to avoid having their firearm classified as having a “pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously under the action of the weapon”, potentially avoiding the firearm being classified as an “assault weapon” under section 30515(a)(1) of the Criminal Code. I bought the Sparrow handle for my Ruger rim light. The grip is well done, but, as others have commented, it was impossible to do my thumbs. So I tweaked it slightly to get the space I needed. Yes, I know the warranty is void, I don`t care.
It`s better to shoot now.
