This includes cards printed with a common set symbol and the L-rarity code. Maps such as Mortician Beetle and Crypt Rats were first printed as Rare or Uncommons, but later printed with the usual rarity, making all issues of this map legal in perpetuity (or an unlikely ban). Other maps like Lightning Bolt and Rancor have mostly been printed on Commons, but have occasional printing here and there at an unusual or higher level, which could confuse newcomers. This means that they belong to this list, because whatever version of the card you own, if it is on this list, it is legal in Pauper. Trauper`s big gimmick, however, is that the cards it contains are legal. Although it never runs like the norm, meaning that cards from the entire history of the game can be used, only common rarity cards are legal. Unusual, rare and mythical rare cards have no place in the Poor format. Indeed, Wizards considers Pauper only online. When in doubt, you can access many community resources. If you can only play online, and this problem happens often. –quick Google search, seems to imply that Mirage forward was published online. Some pre-Mirage cards were in vintage master sets. But maybe the scarcity has changed. Mr. PDH pointed out that I had forgotten to update this list ages ago, so I corrected that. I added the last two years with poor cards rarely moved.
